For Most couples, riding to work with their husband, working together all day, riding home together, etc. etc. etc. NO WAY!!! But for L.J. and I, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are BEST FRIENDS. “PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY, SPAGHETTI & MEATALLS, CHOCOLATE & VANILLA”. But being this way makes it easy to work late and get everything done. We “WORK AROUND THE CLOCK” so to say (no pun intended). I joke with L.J. and tell him that my epitaph on my gravestone will say, “She had ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, but ran out of Time”. - Joanie |

ALBERT WOULD BE PROUD OF HIS SHOP TODAY!!! "Albert's Antique Clocks" on the side street of Myrtle and Beach Street in Daytona Beach, Florida. They specialized in repairing clocks and the sale of old-time pieces. The business grew, soon he could no longer handle all the work pouring in himself, so his son L. J. joined him in the business. When the business continued to flourish, they soon found themselves needing more space and better visibility, Albert and L. J. moved to the present location at 1808 Ridgewood Avenue in Holly Hill , Florida 32117. Back in 1995. Albert passed away in August of 1997, leaving scores of friends and legions of customers whose watches and clocks he had faithfully repaired over the years. L. J. and his wife, Joanie, have been carrying on the family tradition, fixing the old and new, and have added a fine variety of clocks for sale as well as watches, pocket watches and even music boxes. Albert would be proud of the way they run this Christian clock shop today. |
