Clocks need to be FULLY SERVICED every 3-5 YEARS, this is a MAINTENANCE THING, IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE REPAIR WORK.  Many people believe that “IF IT ISN’T BROKEN, DON’T FIX IT!”  So don’t run your clock until it stops on it’s own and has wear and then needs EXPENSIVE BUSHING WORK OR A MOVEMENT REPLACEMENT (if a new movement is available), Have your clock serviced on a maintenance schedule!

YOU SHOULD USE LEMON OIL ON THE CASE OF YOUR CLOCK TO KEEP HE WOOD NUTURED WHICH WILL HOLD OFF ANY POSSIBLE CRACKING THAT WOULD OCCUR DUE TO DRYING OUT OVER THE YEARS…   THIS SHOULD BE LIQUAD LEMON OIL, NOT AN AEROSOL SPRAY ON PRODUCT, THE CHEMICALS THEY USE TO MAKE IT AN AEROSOL CAN ACTUALLY DRY THE WOOD MORE AND A PASTE WX WOULD FILL THE POORSE OF THE WOOD, WHICH WILL CAUSE CRACKING INSTEAD OF FIGHT IT!
